Oppression doesn’t make them communist. Communism is, in principle, against oppression. Just because many states have features that the world of bourgeois dictatorships (which limits its people with as much a heavy hand as many communist states have) hypocritically criticize as authoritarian and oppressive doesn’t mean the ideology itself is. There is little in the works of Marx Engels or Lenin that say it’s good to create a police state.
The hardest lesson to learn for me is that you can’t always expect things to turn out positively. Ultimately bad things are going to happen no matter what. You can’t always fix things that are broken and sometimes you can’t mend the wounds that are cut. In the end you have to stand up tall, chest out and deal with circumstances that life gives you. You have to learn from mistakes and learn how to grow from them. Learning not to be so entangled in bitterness, and giving forgiveness when it is needed. Learning to love yourself, so you can love others. Being grateful and helping others. Comforting others when they are hurt.
It’s hard to stay positive when things don’t go your way.
Everyday is a new beginning and everyday gives us an opportunity to brighten and make people happy. So if you’re sad today make someone else smile.
Why do I dance? I dance because it’s fun, it’s relaxing, and it gives me a sense of freedom from the world. I joined Level 5 as a way of learning how to dance. The people in this dance team are wonderful. I love each and everyone of them. It’s just like some of my friends noted earlier today. You put in so much work and dedication to learn the piece and practice it everyday. In the end it is so discouraging not to get the piece because of height or because you have your own sense of style. Plenty of times my friends say I did good in the auditions and I don’t get blocked. I’m 5’10 and always get blocked in the back if I’m in the piece. It sucks to watch your friends dance and you just sit there, and thinking I want to dance with them too. The choreographers say better luck next time. Yeah, and things on this team have never changed. This is primarily my reason for leaving this quarter. This is ridiculous, dance should be on ability, not aesthetics.
I’m tired of trying to try for something that’s not even going to be there. I’m tired of trying my best and practicing for something and end up not even getting anything. It’s frustrating that no matter how hard you try, you just never end up with what your expectations want you to be. I…
Credit needs to be given where hard work, dedication, and hours of practice are put in. I see everything but that. I’m done wasting my time, seeing people/friends shed tears because someone who practiced so hard didn’t get any sort of acknowledgment for it, and got sorted as 2nd best. I’m done…
I’m sorry for the hiatus, all. I’ve been pretty busy and haven’t been taking too many pictures lately. This week, I’m going to be giving away 6 copies of the photo-editing app “Snapseed” for the iPhone. In order to enter the contest, just make sure you’re following me, and reblog this photo! I will choose the winners at the end of this week.
Oh, and make sure your ask box is open so I can contact you if you win! Mine is always open for feedback, suggestions, and comments, so ask away!
